The whole world, people celebrate World Environment Day every year on the 5th of June. This day, people from different places celebrate to spread the importance of the Environment to the upcoming generation and spread awareness between them to respect the beauty and greatness of the Environment to us and maintain the balance of nature on Earth. World Environment Day has been run by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) since 1973. As we all know, the Environment is one of the most important aspects that play an important role in the survival of life and beauty on Earth. We can’t even imagine a single day without an environment.
Most organizations, schools, colleges, universities, and other departments celebrate this beautiful day by planting tree saplings in the ground and also making decisions to protect them, feed them water, and make them healthy as we take care of our children. Many schools and colleges take students on tours in the forests, nurseries, and other botanical gardens to provide information about the different types of trees. The environment is God’s most important and precious gift to human beings and all the living creatures on Earth. There are certain elements that make the environment, such as air, water, soil, trees, atmosphere, oceans, land, forests, etc., all-important to us for survival. If these all remain undisturbed, then the existence of life continues till ages.
But, somehow these all are going to damage because of the increase in the pollution in the atmosphere which disturbs the balance of the environment. Human activities are more responsible for the damage to the environment, such as deforestation, industrialization, mining, excavation, urbanization, transportation, etc all are responsible for these adverse effects. To stop these evil practices from the point of view of environmental protection, the UN has decided from an idea to create awareness regarding the environmental balance and appeal to them to protect the environment. We have to take strict actions and start campaigns to warn people to control pollution by using technology properly and using less conventional and non-renewable energies. Use eco-friendly and recyclable things by substituting harmful and non-recyclable things. It is our responsibility to protect our environment from the causes of pollution by reducing pollution and make people realize the importance of the environment by celebrating it on the 5th of June every year, since 1973.
